To bridge the gap between industrial need for trained, skilled and innovative manpower the training centre or workshop of JGTR ITI Gola is one of the most sophisticated setup for imparting training on various conventional and CNC machine and CAD/CAM technology “Learning by doing” concept with the application of latest audio visual training equipments. It emphasizes on maintaining the scientific blend of theory and practical.
Fitting Shop involves a large number of hand operations to finish the work to desired shape, size and accuracy. The various operations performed are marking, chipping, sawing, filing, scraping, drilling, tap (Internal threading) and die (External threading). . Students acquire skills in using tools and basic fitting equipment, identification of materials, description and demonstration of various bench vices, holding devices and files, drilling and threading tools. Shop is also equipped with mechanized hydraulic bending attachment. The basic operations performed in fitting shop are drilling, reaming, boring, counter sinking, tapping, threading and grinding etc.
The different turning operations – Plain, Facing, Drilling, Boring (counter and stepped) Grooving, Parallel turning, stepped turning, Parting, Chamfering, U-cut, Reaming, Internal recess & Knurling. The skills on grinding of different cutting tools viz., V tool, side cutting, parting and thread cutting (both LH & RH) are also imparted. During this period the testing alignment of lathe by checking different parameters viz., axial slip of main spindle, true running of head stock, parallelism of main spindle and alignment of both the centers are also covered.
It is equipped with Lathes, Shapers, Milling Machines, Tool Room Lathe, Tool & Cutter Grinder, Lathe Grinding Attachment, Semi Norton Lathe, Radial Drilling Machine, Surface Grinding Machine, Bench Grinder and Weighing Machine. The Various Operations practiced by students in Machine Shop are Cylindrical Turning, Taper Turning, Step Turning, Facing, Threading, Cutting, Slotting, Milling, Grooving Chamfering, Drilling, Reaming etc.
Shop comprises Submerged Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Spot Welding, Arc Welding, Abrasive Wheel Cutter, Gas Welding and Cutting apparatus. The welding shop is equipped with Fume Extractor System to provide the eco-friendly environment for working. The different operations practiced in Welding Shop are Position Welding, Butt Welding, Lap Welding, Spot welding, Dissimilar Metal Welding and Metal Cutting.
A dedicated time of 13 weeks devoted for CNC operations which involve setting both job and tools and operating the CNC turn centre to produce components as per drawing by preparing part programs. The candidate gets enough training both on multi-media-based CNC simulated and on actual intermediate production based CNC machine.
With the advancement of the technologies and increase in digitalization throughout the globe, knowledge of computers to everyone has become necessity. We have state of the art I.T lab facility with all the necessary software and internet connectivity to train our students to meet the today’s demand.
The electrical lab facility is present at JGTR ITI Gola to boost and maintain the solution for demand as per electrical needs. It is the place where people should conduct basic and advanced experiments of electrical circuits and practical training of different types of circuits. The Lab is developed with motto to upgrade the skills of loacal youth in terms of acquiring and repairing of household appliances so that they became entrepreneur or self sustainable.
JGTR ITI Gola offers vocational training program on plumber, catering the needs of different sectors of economy/labour market. The equipments lay outs, assemblies, installation and maintenance of sanitary and pipe fitting, sewage, etc. By acquiring the knowledge the people can upgrade their skill and get a better option to lead a better life.
Nowadays as the technology improving more and more we no longer require the use of protractors and compasses to create drawings, instead there are several classes that focus on the use of various software. This laboratory mainly deals with the detailed engineering of 3D models and/or 2D drawings of physical components using CAD software, but it is also used throughout the engineering process from conceptual design and layout of products, through strength and dynamic analysis of assemblies to definition of manufacturing methods of components. It can also be used to design objects. Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computer systems to assist in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing. Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is the use of computer software to control machine tools and related machinery in the manufacturing of work pieces
Along with training in welding workshop students are trained on advanced welding simulator. Students are exposed to different welding environment and working condition to get wide exposure and training. Students can assess themselves and practice the welding art without any risk and enthusiasm.
The JGTR ITI Gola is fulfilling its social responsibility by working in the field of Terracota/Matikala training to boost the traditional clay art in the state and spread its awareness among people.
Its aim is to nurture traditional arts, rural culture and rural industries in the state in order to promote Matikala by encouraging and upgrading the skills of artisans through skill development training and quality control from a business perspective.
The main purpose of the library is to support the education and research of the institution by providing physical and intellectual access to information and keeping it up to date, by ensuring the education and research brand mission of the institution.
The library aims to create a collection of highly useful information for the institute's teachers and student community.
The institute has separate hostels for Boy’s & Girl’s. The hostels are designed to provide comfortable, safe, inclusive, and secure living. The hostel rooms are spacious with natural light and ventilation. Each student is provided with a bed, a study table and chair and a mattress. The hostels are provided with 24*7 electricity & water supply. Vigilant security and CCTV surveillance ensure a pleasant stay allowing students to focus on academics. Residential staffs are always available to support students from different backgrounds to promote Community Living on campus. The hostel life is a platform for lasting friendships.
The objective of the Canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of foodborne illness, with proper sanitary conditions, and preventing adulterated food. Only one common eating facility (canteen facility) shall be provided in the campus for day scholars, hostellers, guests of the College, teaching and non-teaching staff of the College.The management is fully committed to keeping the quality of the canteen for the utmost benefit of all concerned
Electricity is the driving soul of the machines. Our Centre has 100KW solar powered capacity power supply which provides uninterrupted electricity to our machines and whole campus. Due to this students can practice their skills without getting interrupted.
